Q. How long does a charge last for battery-powered Vista system? 2.5 to 4 hours on a single charge, depending on use. (Movies use more power than talking, etc.)
Q. Do you offer any kind of guarantee or warrantee? Yes, we fully guarantee the Vista systems for 1 year from purchase. Send them back, and we will fix them for free. If something is broken by an accident in the field, we can send replacement parts or perform repairs on a unit mailed to us.
Q. Are your screens difficult to put together? The screens are easy to assemble (like a pop-up tent) and only weigh a couple of pounds. They are made of a durable stretchy reflective material. They stand alone and they can be hung from a single nail on a rafter, wall or tree.
Q. The battery can be recharged via sunlight, but can it also be recharged from an AC power outlet, particularly at 220V? Yes. AC adapter and cords are included, though you may need an adapter to make the plug (standard 2-prong USA) fit the outlets in other countries.
Q. How powerful is the Vista's video projector; approximately how many lumens? Our current projector runs at 19 volts; 50 lumens. That's right, 50 lumens! You can fill up our 90" screen with this wonderful little projector.
Q. How long with the projector's bulb last? Because it is an LED (light emitting diode) and not a standard bulb there is as much as 20,000 hours of life. Think of it this way, you could show a two hour film every day - that's 365 per year - and still be using this LED projector 20 years from now without replacing the "bulb".
Q. Does this unit include any kind of speaker? The Vista Backpack System includes one speaker, but you may connect up to 4 total since the amp has 4 channels. See our products page for speaker selection.
Q. How far will you speakers range? 'How many people can hear? That depends on the speakers you choose. (See above). With one marine speaker and one horn you can broadcast sound very nicely to over 1000 people.
Q. What media can I use to play on your units? The Vista will play DVD, MP4, VCD, CD, and MP3 in both PAL and NTSC
Q. Does it come with microphones? Wireless mics? The Vista system includes a wired mic but can be equipped for wireless mic.
Q. Can I order the system without the battery and solar panels? Of course! We will adapt the system to suit your specific needs.
Q. What is the best way to carry the Vista systems? The Vista comes in a padded carrying case, but we suggest our backpack or hard case. Both are available depending on your situation.
